What is the DALF® Test?

DALF stands for Diplôme approfondi de langue française or Advanced Diploma in French language. The test is conducted to examine the proficiency in French for the higher levels. As the name itself suggests, it is conducted to assess the advanced level of French language learning.

Test Pattern -

C1 – This level comprises of – Reading, Writing, Speaking And Listening. All the sections are of 25 marks each. It is of 4 hours.
C2 – This level comprises of Reading and Writing, Speaking and Listening. Both the sections are of 50 marks each. It is of 3 hours 30 minutes.

For C1 Level it is :

Reading
Writing
Speaking
Listening

Each sections is of 25 marks. So the entire examination is of 100 marks and the candidate needs to secure at least 50 out of 100, to qualify for the test with a minimum score of 5 out of 25 in each area.
